Do you have degree partnerships with community colleges?

Start-to-Finish Evening Degree Program

Earn your A.A. and move on to your B.A. in convenient evening classes. Offered through the Seattle Community Colleges and the University of Washington.

Completing your degree not only improves your career prospects, it gives you the satisfaction of accomplishing a personal goal. Now it is possible to achieve your educational goals during convenient evening hours through the Seattle Community Colleges' and University of Washington's Start-to-Finish Evening Degree Program.

These schools have joined forces to offer a comprehensive way to earn your degree in the evening. Their partnership is dedicated to providing more courses for those wishing to earn their degree at night. Increased coordination between the institutions means students will smoothly transition from community college to UW classes, while continuously maintaining a convenient evening schedule.

Who is this program for?

The Start-to-Finish Evening Degree Program is for anyone interested in working toward an Associate in Arts, or ultimately a Bachelor of Arts degree by attending evening classes. The program is ideal for people who work or have other responsibilities during the day. Enhanced advising services at both the community colleges and the UW are available to help you create your four-year academic plan.

What are the admission requirements?

The Seattle Community Colleges and University of Washington maintain separate admission requirements. Although participation in the Start-to-Finish Evening Degree Program does not guarantee admission to the UW, the consistent advising provided throughout the program will further your preparation for admission to the UW.

If I'm currently a day student, can I participate in this program?

Yes. However, when it is time to apply to the University of Washington, you will need to specify whether you are applying for the day program or the evening program.

Is there a difference between evening degrees and degrees completed during the day?

No. The diploma, coursework and teaching are the same. There is no notation on the diploma indicating evening degree. The only difference between the day and evening program is the time classes are offered, Monday through Thursday after 4:30 p.m.
