Official Test Scores
Submitting test scores is optional for students with more than 40 transferable credits. Thus, as an Evening Degree applicant, you are not required to submit test scores. If you feel that your test scores would add strength to your eligibility for admission, you are encouraged to submit them. You may wish to discuss your individual situation with an academic adviser prior to applying if you are in doubt about the best course of action.
When students submit scores from more than one test or multiple scores from the same test, Admissions always uses the highest combined score from a single test date. The best mathematics score from one test date will not be combined with the best verbal score from another test date.
SAT, ACT, or Washington Pre-College Test (WPCT) scores are all acceptable.
WPCT scores are acceptable if you took the exam by June 1, 1989. If you took WPCT in a Washington high school between 1966 and June 1, 1989, the Office of Admissions has your scores on microfiche.
Scores are official if they are sent directly from the testing agency to the UW.
Test scores do not expire; the UW will accept them for admission purposes no matter how many years have passed since you took the exam.
