Admission
I am an international transfer student with 75 credits completed within the United States
What does it cost to attend the Evening Degree Program?
Finances
International students and their families or sponsors must assume all responsibility for student expenses. Financial assistance from the UW is not available to international students. Therefore, it is extremely important that all applicants review their expenses before deciding whether to apply for admission.
Paying Tuition
Students must pay for their courses when they register. Students will be sent a separate bill at the beginning of each quarter for health insurance*, the University's U-PASS (bus pass), and, for those living on campus, room and board. All of the foregoing fees must be paid in full by the third week of the quarter. Please see the estimated student budget below for a breakdown of all fees.
* Washington State Law (WAC 478-160-260) requires that all International students have adequate health insurance. All registered international students, regardless of visa type, will
be required to purchase the UW student health insurance. Waivers will not be granted for other health insurance programs.

Demonstrating Financial Resources
In order to complete the application for admission and receive the necessary immigration forms to obtain a student visa, the applicant must demonstrate that he or she has sufficient funds to pay for tuition and living expenses at the UW. All applicants are required to sign and submit the Statement of Financial Responsibility form which should be printed and sent to the Office of Admissions. Applicants must also provide an original bank letter or statement dated within the last six months, as evidence of financial resources. An application file is not complete without both documents-Statement of Financial Responsibility and supporting documents from a bank.
Applicants should keep a copy of all financial documents submitted to the UW, as this information may be needed when applying to the U.S. Consulate for a student visa, or to U.S. Immigration officials upon entry to the U.S.
